During the last days of summer vacation, our parish camp took place. This year, we embarked on a truly special journey, guided by the idea of a shared car ride with the ultimate destination being heaven itself.
Our best navigator and guide was none other than Saint Carlo Acutis. Throughout the camp, he showed us how to drive properly, where to refuel our spiritual energy, and what specific actions we could take each day to get closer to God. It was a journey filled with shared experiences, games, and reflections. We also visited the sick and elderly in our parish to pray for them and offer comfort.
It was a great joy and spiritual support for us that we were accompanied by two Vincentian sisters and Father Miroslav throughout this week. We would like to thank Father Štěpán as well for his prayers and words of encouragement.
However, none of this would have been possible without the support of other willing people, whom we would like to express our gratitude to. A big thank you goes to the cooks from the school cafeteria who prepared delicious lunches for us, and also to everyone who contributed with a tasty pastry or fresh fruit. We are also grateful to those who made the Kasowy premises available to us, providing a space for the children.
Last but not least, we thank each participant. Without the selfless help of mothers and without the enthusiasm, smiles, and open hearts of all the children and leaders, this week would not have been so wonderful. Thank you for joining us on this journey, and we look forward to future events together.
