Mothers prepared an interesting start to the school year for the children who will receive their first communion this year in Mosty. They placed photographs of all the children on a sunflower board and prepared a candle for each child, which they will light during Friday's children's masses. The program also included a blessing of school bags and backpacks, and an introduction to St. Francis.
The children will encounter him throughout the year and learn about his life through stories about animals. The parish priest thanked the mothers for their active involvement and wished the children and parents a blessed school year. He also encouraged the children to attend Friday and Sunday masses, for which they will receive sheep stamps in their journals. All materials for preparing the children's mass were funded from the proceeds of the parish ball.
